St. Mark’s Altar Servers’ Bus Trip 2025
What an exciting start to the Spring School Holidays for our Altar Servers!
With blessings and a special welcome from Fr Boni and Fr Long, 21 Altar Servers serving weekday and weekend masses with our coordinators and volunteers participated in a thanksgiving fun day with a visit to St Mary’s Church Ipswich and the Nature Centre at Queens Park.
Fr Minje Kim and Ipswich Parish Staff welcomed the children and volunteers and our day started with a special Eucharistic celebration.
We extend our special thanks to Fr Minje for celebrating mass with us and to Ipswich Parish staff for providing us with parish facilities. Fr Long joined us for morning tea, and it was a wonderful opportunity for our children to share their ministry experience with Fr Minje and Fr Long.
We then proceeded to explore the Ipswich Nature Centre and Queens Park. The group enjoyed lunch and took part in strategy/team-building games.
Children had a fun-filled day of enrichment through worship and active engagement. They received tokens of appreciation for their continued service to our Lord Jesus in their ministry.
We express our gratitude to the altar server coordinators, group leaders, volunteers and parish staff for generously giving their time and supporting the fun-day program.
